Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page covers anymail.watch, the marketing site. It is the long version of the panel you saw on your first visit. The short version: nothing but the cookie remembering your answer is set until you say yes.

01

What we set, and when

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep. We set exactly one before you choose anything: the record of your choice itself. Analytics and marketing cookies are loaded only after you allow that category, and they are removed from the equation entirely if you decline — the tags are not loaded in a degraded mode, they are not loaded at all.
02

The three categories

Strictly necessary keeps your consent choice and the site secure. It cannot be switched off, because switching it off would mean forgetting that you switched it off.Analytics tells us which pages are read and where people give up, so we can fix the weak ones. Marketing connects a signup back to the campaign that produced it, and allows follow-up ads away from this site.
03

The register

NameSet byLifetimePurpose
c1_consentanymail12 monthsStores the choice you made in the cookie panel. Strictly necessary — without it we would have to ask on every page.
_gaGoogle Analytics2 yearsTells one returning browser from another so a visit is not counted twice. Analytics.
_ga_G6SPH1Y5SCGoogle Analytics2 yearsKeeps the state of the current session. Analytics.
_gcl_auGoogle Ads90 daysLinks a signup back to the ad that led to it. Marketing.
04

Consent signals sent to Google

We use Google Consent Mode. Before you answer, every non-essential storage type is set to denied, ad identifiers are redacted, and no measurement cookie is written. When you answer, your choice is passed on as a signal — analytics storage separately from advertising storage, so allowing one does not quietly allow the other.
05

Changing your mind

Withdrawing is meant to be exactly as easy as consenting. Use in the footer of any page, change the switches, and save. The new choice applies immediately. If you clear your browser storage we lose the record and will ask again; we also ask again after twelve months.
06

Your browser is the other control

Every major browser can block or delete cookies for a site independently of this panel. Doing so may lose your consent record, which means the panel returns.
